Year 4

We are at the end of another term. Students were really busy in the last few weeks. They participated in the ‘Bounce Back’ incursion which was aimed at developing resilience in our students. Interactive games, videos and scenarios were used to equip students with practical strategies to solve day to day conflicts.

Students are learning about sustainability in Geography. Environment Day activities tied in well with our classroom learning activities. Students planted their own vegetables in the veggie bins. They used waste products to create craft pieces. It was amazing to see what ideas they came up with.

Congratulations on the completion of another successful term! Enjoy your well-deserved holiday.

Here are the comments from Year 4 students about what they enjoyed:

I enjoyed my Art lessons and group work while doing different activities. All incursions and excursions were fun. I am looking forward to do more exciting activities in the next term.

On 31st of May, Cidra, Sukaina and I went to Melbourne to participate in the Interschool Mathematics Competition. There were three more teams from other campuses who competed with us. Though we didn’t win, we tried our best and we learnt a lot. It was a good experience.

‘Bounce Back’ incursion was really good because Tim, the presenter, taught us strategies for how to be more resilient. We must stand up for ourselves, help others and solve our problems to remain positive and calm at all times. I learnt that the majority of the problems can be solved if we think positively.

I enjoyed going to the Shepparton Recycling Centre. We learnt how to live a sustainable life by reducing the amount of rubbish we produce every day. We also learnt how to sort rubbish out at home to put it in the right bin. We visited the special shop that sells old objects that can be reused. Reuse, recycle and reduce should be out motto to have a cleaner world.
